Plasma Bevelling Head
FastCAM approached us to assist with the completion of their design for a plasma cutter bevelling head. A proof of concept prototype had been produced but was off being testing in Canada. So with a bunch of photos of the prototype, some very early CAD data and list of changes we set out to improving the design for assembly, servicability and commissioning.
A few weeks later we came back with an updated data set of 3D CAD files and 2D drawings which was promptly sent off to K and A Engineering in Adelaide to machined up the pre production units. With a complete 3D CAD dataset we were able to render up some photo realistic images of the finished design which were used for press releases and marketing purposes.
Once K and A had completed all the machining work, the parts were shipped back to FastCAM in Melbourne where we spent the next few days in a flurry of activity assembling and testing the units ready for a trade show in China.
The units performed well and have been receiving a great response from everyone that see them. For more information on the Plamsa Bevel Head contact FastCAM
