In a nutshell CPDESIGN services can be broken down into two areas.
- Product Design (Industrial design, Mechanical design, Rapid Prototyping and Visulization)
- Solidworks CAD consultation
According to Wikipedia, Industrial Design is an applied art whereby the aesthetics and usability of mass-produced products may be improved for marketability and production. The role of an Industrial Designer is to create and execute design solutions towards problems of form, usability, user ergonomics, engineering, marketing, brand development and sales.
Mechanical Design is purely the functional side of the equation. The two disciplines overlap, however, Mechanical Design focuses more on the functionality and the ability of a part to meet defined criteria.
Having both disciplines allows us to produce designs that not only look great but can be manufactured using realistic processes and work as intended.
