  I had a great idea that I needed help to develop into a product. But after searching around I could only find big product design agencies with equally big fees.
I searched for 12 months to find someone that ‘got’ my vision and had the technical expertise to deliver a product that could be manufactured on my budget, and cpdesign appeared to fit the bill. Chris has gone over and above to assist wherever he can and managed to take what I had in my head and bring it into a visual format. He delivered the 3D CAD data on time, enabling manufacturers to quote on production. He also developed the technical and operational specifications of the product to help communicate the functionality to the manufacturers. Chris is an award winning industrial designer and it shows. As we design and manufacturer our own products in-house we have CAD software and CNC manufacturing capabilities at our finger tips. However, a new product we were working on took us in the direction of plastic moulded parts and electronics which is outside our area of expertise, so we knew we needed some help with this one!
When designing products for consumer use, there are lots of things to consider – not only must it look good and perform its intended task, but it also has to be able to be assembled and manufactured in a way that it fits into the intended price point in the market. Here’s where solid, rounded experience helps, being able to tie all the elements of a design together.

After approaching a couple of firms to help our company develop a new range of storage products we decided to go with Chris Peters. His quotation for doing the work was within our guidelines, and once he started to show what he could do for us, we were sold. Chris listened to our brief and was eager to start on the project.
